Hendra Setiawan Boen is a co-founder, principal, Managing Partner, and the Head of the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice Group and Intellectual Property Practice Group. He reads law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trisakti. Hendra has been practicing law since 2005 and registered as a Receiver and Administrator for Bankruptcy with the Ikatan Kurator dan Pengurus Indonesia (IKAPI). Hendra served as a legal team’s coordinator on behalf of Mr. Joko Widodo during his 2019 re-election campaign.

Hendra was a partner in a well-known and reputable litigation law firm and previously worked for a first-tier corporate firm considered one of the pioneers in the field of capital market law in Indonesia before moving on to practice with an Indonesian first-tier litigation firm. There, he handled numerous multifaceted complex litigations, including corporate or intellectual property litigation. He also actively contributes his time to writing law articles published in national-scale media, as well as a book on law.

Hendra’s works have been covered widely by local and international media, inter alia, as follows: Bisnis Indonesia, Katadata, Kontan, Tempo, Beritasatu, Hukumonline, Sindonews, Detik, Media Indonesia, MetroTV, CNN Indonesia, VOA Indonesia, Malay Mail, The Sun Daily, The Star, etc. Hendra was also named Indonesia's Rising Star Lawyer and Asia’s 40 under 40, respectively, in 2020 and 2021 by Asian Legal Business Magazine.

Hendra has extensive experience in a wide variety of commercial-litigation-related work, ranging from company issues, marine insurance, charter party disputes, banking matters, property matters, financial and investment-related claims, capital market issues, construction disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, anti-monopoly disputes, energy and resources matters, telecom matters, maritime issues, plantation issues to infrastructure sectors. He also specializes in intellectual property protection and advises in numerous class-action suits and citizen lawsuits, as well as cross-border international arbitration.
